Alake Calls On All Commercial Riders To Emulate The Sporting Motorcycle Riders, For Their Safety.

The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has called on all Commercial Motorcyclists, otherwise known as Okada, Riders, to emulate the Sporting and Fun Motorcycle Riders, for their safety and that of their pillion riders.

Oba Adedotun Gbadebo made the call while receiving in audience of the Group of Sporting and Fun Bikers, who annually camp in Abeokuta for Holiday Tourism

Alake urged all Okada Commercial Motorcycle Riders To Emulate Safety Consciousness of Sporting Bikers.

The Egba Apex Monarch noted that the Bikers were always conscious that they were sometimes riding along with their wives as pillion riders, adding that, they could be prone to vehicular mishaps, which made them to navigate with good road manners, etiquettes and road safety laws.

The Egba Apex Monarch said he was always looking forward to receiving the Bikers and their wives at the Ake Palace and Abeokuta as a whole every year, adding that, he was happy that, he had never heard a report of any accident.

Alake therefore called on the Bikers to educate the commercial Okada riders to earn their daily bread without endangering their own and their customers’ lives, by conducting themselves in the best road safety manners.

Oba Gbadebo also told the Bikers that their Group’s name, ‘Bikers With Attitude And Determination,’ should be a theme for campaign for Good Road Manners to Okada and other road users.

Speaking earlier, The President, ‘Bikers with Attitude and Determination,’ Mr Ajibade Kayode stated that, they were once again at the palace to pay their annual courtesy visit to the Alake and enjoy their 3-day camping with the members of their family.

He disclosed that Abeokuta was a most hospitable place, in terms of hospitality and physical environment, adding that, although there were some Egbas among them, other members from other parts of the country had always joined them to celebrate their annual Bikers Function with their families

He commended the Alake for his proverbial hospitality, which according to him, had always endeared Abeokuta and other Egba Sites and Scenes as Tourism Destinations.
