Bikers group, Lagos govt advocate for voluntary blood donation

A nonprofit making organisation, Bikers with Attitude and Determination has joined Lagos State Blood Transfusion Committee in advocating for voluntary blood donation at the Gbagada General Hospital in celebration of the World Blood Donor Day.

The Bikers came out in their numbers with their shiny motorcycles on Saturday to join the sensitization campaign on the importance of voluntary donation of blood at the Gbagada General Hospital in Lagos.

Speaking during the sensitization campaign the president of the Group, Mr. Kayode Kosile-Palmer, said “Anyone can be in need of blood transfusion for whatever reason, now realising that the person could not access it due to unavailability and lose his/her life is going to leave a devasting mark – Supporting this initiative goes deeper than just riding and talking to people, for us, this is one of the ways we help save lives”.

He thanked members of the group who also joined in donating blood to the blood bank and other voluntary, blood donors.
Palmer said the ideal is part of the Group’s activities to support charitable causes.

Appreciating the Group for their presence and support towards a successful event, the Lagos State Blood Transfusion Committee and staff of Gbagada General Hospital thanked them for coming alongside with gift items for donors

Recall that the Group, through its charity initiative BG Cares has collaborated with various charitable organisations such as the Red Cross Society, God Fabulous Home for Special Need, and the Care People Foundation Motherless home this year.
